NERD Holsters are built to exact specifications to ensure a secure, and safe fit for your handgun. With that in mind, like all holsters, our products will cause some level of finish wear on your handgun. Regular cleaning and maintenance of your holster will minimize the wear on your handgun. Also, your gun is a tool, just use it.
We pride ourselves on offering a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If you suspect your holster failed because of craftsmanship or material, please contact us.
We may request information (including pictures) to determine if the holster is eligible to be repaired or replaced.
Short Answer? It depends.

When you order a “Full QLS Kit” with a [COFFIN]2.0 or [SLY] OWB holster, you will receive Safariland male and female QLS plates, a Safariland Universal Belt Loop, and a [NERD] patented thigh strap!
No. On all of our light bearing holsters, the light must be installed to properly retain the pistol.
Our holsters are designed to fit the specific WML listed and we strongly recommend against using any other light than the one the holster was specifically designed to fit (even if some guy on the internet says the $40 light from Amazon is the same).
Some WMLs may use specific clamps or keys to fit certain model pistols. This can especially confusing in certain makes and models so if you have questions regarding fitment, please reach out and we will do our best inform you on what fits what.
Weapon lights are probably the source of 75% of the questions we receive and we wanted to give some information that may be helpful.
Streamlight TLR7 Sub (and its variants):
The 7 Sub, 7X sub and 7HLX Sub are all dimensionally the same and all three fit our holsters that are shown as the “TLR7 Sub” in the drop down selector. While all 7 Subs share the same body, there are a handful of different clamps that are all dimensionally different and will affect holster fit. Below are examples of which clamp is compatible with certain holsters.
Springfield Hellcat and Hellcat PRO use the “SA HCAT” marked clamps. The HK CC9 also used the “SA HCAT” clamp due to its short railed frame.
Glock 43X MOS, 48X MOS will use the “GL” marked clamps. Shadow Systems CR920 CR920X and CR920XP will use the “GL” clamps. the PSA Micro Dagger will use the “GL” clamps as well.
Canik MC9, MC9L, MC9LS and Prime will use “1913 clamps”.
Sig Sauer P365 and P365XL will use the “SIG” marked clamps.
Sig Sauer P365 X Macro, FUSE and AXG Legion will use “1913” clamps
Streamlight TLR7 (and its variants):
The TLR7, TLR7A and TLR7X are dimensionally the same (all use the same light body) with the differences being internal and control related (neither of which affect fit). The newest addition, the TLR7 HLX utilizes the same light body but has a longer bezel and does not fit the 7/7A/7X holsters.
Streamlight TLR1 (and its variants):
Current production models of the TLR1 variants include the HL, HP, HLX and HPX. While the HL and HP utilize the same body and fit all of the holsters listed for the “HL” in the dropdown menus, the HLX is larger than the HL and HP but shorter than the HPX. Therefore, the HLX and HPX are specific to themselves and only fit their respective holsters.
Olight PL3 Valkyrie (and its variants):
The Olight PL3 Valkyrie has a few variations but thankfully they are all dimensionally the same and all of our holsters fit the original 3, the 3R and 3S. The PL3 Mini Valkyrie (the one with the detachable and rechargeable battery) is of course smaller and fits the PL Mini 3 Valkyrie designation.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
It depends. For instance, some aftermarket grip modules for the Sig P365 will fit with no problems, and others will not. With how rapidly things change, we do not keep a list of compatibility. If you have an aftermarket item that may be in question, please shoot us a picture of your set-up, and we can let you know if it will fit!
Yes, most of our holsters are compatible with the most popular red dot sights currently on the market, including the RMR, RMR HD, SRO, ACRO, Deltapoint, and Holosun. We also use an extra tall sight channel to ensure most iron sights up to .425 tall are compatible.
Please contact us so we can resolve it as quickly as possible!
Because of our industry leading fast shipping, holsters can’t be changed or canceled after 24 hrs. Our holsters are made to order and generally go into production the day the order is placed. Every holster is test fit with the retention set using the ACTUAL pistol (and light when applicable) that has been ordered. The retention should be in the ballpark of what you want out of the box. You may prefer a tighter or looser fit and if that is the case, you can start by making small adjustments to the retention screws near the trigger guard. Usually small adjustments will be enough to make the difference. If you still feel like things aren’t quite right, please contact us and we’ll be more than happy to help!
